StyleJapan is a blog about everything in relation with Japanese pop and rock music, focusing on music reviews. As for the system of rating, below is the five-star system. Half a star may be added or removed depending on whether the song seemed to lack something or have something special.
= Extremely Good, Perfect
= Very Good
= Could have been better
= Absolute turn-off
My name is Noah, and I live in Montréal, the second-largest city of Canada (we only have three large cities, so it’s not too big…), nonetheless it is the best (Toronto is like a cheap imitation of New York without the feel and it rains way too much in Vancouver). Needless to say, I love Japan, and ranking on place #2 is graphic design (books and websites, not clothes (hence graphic design, as many ignore)!). I am fifteen years old and go to Secondary 4 (which is grade 10 in the rest of Canada). As a resident of the province of Québec, my education has been so far entirely French, but my family speaks English. I am in my fourth year of learning Japanese at the Japanese-Canadian Culture Center of Montreal, and, as you might guess, I am the youngest. Although I cannot speak or read fluently, I master Hiragana and Katakana, and know over 200 kanji, and if you give me the translations to certain words that I do not know, I can translate entire texts (the grammar is rather simple). A little info:
Favorite Artists: Utada Hikaru, alan and L’Arc-en-Ciel (yes, my taste is very eclectic)
Hobbies: tennis, listening to and singing great music (if I get a microphone and audio editing software I may eventually release a cover album, if), writing novels, designing whatever I feel inspired to design, blog-hopping, learning Japanese and just languages in general.
